FAQ Category: Cupping & IASTM Therapy

  • What is IASTM?

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) uses specially designed tools to help break down scar tissue, improve tissue mobility, and stimulate healing. I use my tools to relax tough tissues. I find the body responds better to this treatment than to pressing down on painful trigger points.

  • Does cupping leave marks?

They may, but I rarely leave marks because I don’t leave them on long enough to cause bruising. But, temporary circular marks can appear depending on tissue congestion and individual response. These usually fade within a few days.
