My passion for massage began in adolescence and led me to study at Educating Hands School of Massage in Miami, where I became licensed in 1995. Over the years, I’ve continued my education, developing master-level skills in therapeutic and medical massage that blend massage therapy with sports medicine to effectively treat athletes and soft tissue injuries.
In 2000 and 2002 I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Athletic Training from FIU and have since treated athletes across a wide range of disciplines, including NCAA, NFL, NBA, AVP, ATP, WTA, baseball, rugby and triathlons. My expertise in sports medicine allows me to deliver performance-enhancing, pain-relief treatments with little to no post-session soreness.
I believe in patient-centered therapy. That means that you, the patient, have as much say in the treatment as I do. The treatments involve patient feedback to optimize the effectiveness of the techniques used.
I have taken courses in many different modalities including:
- Active Isolated Stretching
- Myofascial Release
- Myofascial Vocal Therapy
- Cupping
- IASTM (Scraping/Guasha)
- Sports Massage
- Kinesiology Taping
My treatments also benefit from the use of the muscle-releasing Theragun and the anti-inflammatory effects of red light therapy.
Currently, I am the only massage therapist in Miami with advanced training who offers vocal therapy – specializing in myofascial treatments to the mouth, tongue, and throat. This training allows me to treat vocal artists, cancer and stroke patients, podcasters, auctioneers, actors, and just about anyone that uses their voice to make a living.
